Arizona State University
As one of the largest public universities in the U.S, Arizona State has four different campuses dispersed throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area. With over 350 undergraduate majors offered, they are known for being at the top in innovation and strives to improve higher education. Some popular majors include Business and Marketing, Engineering, and Biological Sciences. Because of all the opportunities their School of Journalism offers, it’s actually become one of the nation’s best. As of 2018, tuition costs $10,522 for in-state students and $27,372 for out-of-state students. They even offer an honors program called Barrett, the Honors College, which is a program with their own residential options for students who excel academically.
University of Arizona
The University of Arizona was the first university in Arizona. It’s one of the top three public universities here and is located in the heart of Tucson, Arizona. This school offers more than 160 different undergraduate majors. As of 2018, tuition costs $11,644 for in-state students and $32,449 for out-of-state students. Students also have a choice to apply to their Honors College, where they will be given opportunities to improve beyond just academics. Because greek life is a huge part of the university, there is a wide variety of fraternities and sororities to choose from; there are currently 56.
Northern Arizona University
With their main campus in Flagstaff, Arizona, Northern Arizona University is a public higher-research university with 180 majors and programs. As of 2018, tuition costs $11,060 for in-state students and $24,842 for out-of-state students. There is also an option for students to apply to their University Honors College, which is an enrichment program. Students in this program will receive exclusive opportunities, like research and projects, that no other students will.
Grand Canyon University
Grand Canyon University is a private Christian university located in Phoenix, Arizona. Grand Canyon University is home to one of the top nursing schools in Arizona. They offer a wide variety of health care programs to choose from, even online. Here, the tuition is the same whether or not students are in-state or out-of-state. As of 2018, tuition costs $32,100. Students also have the choice to apply to the Honors College at Grand Canyon University. The Honors College strives to prepare students to become better leaders and employees in the workplace, after finishing school. Students a part of this program will benefit from more privileges which includes an honors diploma and designation on transcripts.
University of Phoenix
With 40 campuses and online school, the University of Phoenix is a private college located in Phoenix, Arizona. There are over 100 degree programs, which also includes online, offered to students here. The school focuses on providing accessible higher education to working adult students. As of 2018, tuition costs $15,818 for everyone, even for out-of-state students. Students can also apply to the Phoenix College Honors Program. This goal of this program is to better prepare students for the workplace after graduation.
