Chandler City History:
All the way back in 1891, Dr. Alexander John Chandler, the first veterinary surgeon in the Arizona territory, settled on a ranch just south of Mesa. By 1900, he had acquired a staggering 18,000 acres of land. This was the beginning of what was then known as Chandler Ranch. Since then, the City of Chandler has become one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the country.
