There’s more to coffee shops than just grabbing a morning coffee. People meet there to study, go on dates, meet with friends, business partners, or even strangers. The two people having a conversation over those drinks next to you could be blossoming in a new love, or friendship. That barista who’s always there can become more than just a stranger if you simply ask him how his day is. The beauty of going to a place like this is that everyone is welcome. Here are three different places in Peoria to enjoy a cup of coffee, or tea.
Union Coffee Company
Union Coffee Co. is a cute, small, local business. In order to ensure freshness, they roast their own coffee in house. At Union, they want to bring people together and connect them with good coffee! Here, you can find a selection of cold drinks, hot drinks, and some specials like the Cold Brew Float and the Affogato.
Driftwood Coffee
Driftwood Coffee is a simplistic coffee shop with a goal to bring the community together. Not only is there a choice for you to get locally roasted coffee, but you can also get it nationally roasted because they buy both. While their menu doesn’t consist of intricate drinks, they still have what you’ll need. They offer cold brews, teas, espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos, lattes, and even French presses.
The Java Grounds Coffee House
There is more to Java Grounds than just being a local business. They are also a not-for-profit organization run by Heart for the City made to support inner city kids. They offer a wide variety of drinks ranging from hot, or cold lattes, iced teas, and smoothies. In addition to coffee, they even serve simple breakfast and lunch foods like Breakfast Burritos, Scones, Salads, and Sandwiches. There’s nothing more rewarding than being able to support the community and have a meal, or a cup of coffee, at the same time.
